These are some of the things C. Flynt has been up to, some of our personal lives, some reviews of things we've read, some stuff we've learned.

The blogs are organized by date.

Comments will appear when we've had time to check them. Apology for the inconvenience, but it's a way to keep phishers and spammers off the page.

Jul, 25, 2023 - Caz The Robot Killer Returns
Caz RobotsBane has attacked the RoboRock:

Left a mound of Fenrir's feces
Where the Rock was known for rolling.
Sullen brown in shadowed stillness,
Waits for Robot's evening strolling.

It turns out that one place where the iRobot Roomba excels over the RoboRock is ease of disassembly and cleaning.

There are a half-dozen easy-to-find screws holding the bulk of bottom panel in place, and then a bunch more hard to find smaller screws that hold the rest of the assembly together.

I managed to find N-x of the smaller screws and then gave up and just washed what I could reach.

The front wheel assembly on the Roomba is a friction fit that you pry out. On the RoboRock, it's held in by two screws that you can only reach after removing the wheel and turning the assembly until an access hole lines up with the screws.

Did I mention how good dog feces is at filling access holes?

In the end, it took me a couple hours to finish the cleaning, then a couple more hours of blowing air over the Robot to dry it out. After all the attention, it seems to be OK.
